The Role

We have an excellent opportunity for an Associate Development Manager to join our client’s development team. Working alongside the Projects Manager, this role will be involved at every stage of the process ensuring all projects are delivered flawlessly, on time and to budget. The Associate Development Manager will help manage a team of consultants, prepare the project programme and co-ordinate timelines. He/she will also assist in appointing contractors and handle all the associated contract administration. Supporting the team in procuring goods and materials, the Associate Development Manager will be responsible for monitoring costs to ensure the project is on budget. This is a challenging and exciting role that presents lots of opportunity for the right individual to grow their skill base.

The Right Candidate

Degree qualified, you will have a minimum of 2 years’ project management experience working on high-end residential refurbishments and developments. Ideally, you will come from a property or design background with a good understanding of the London market. You must have sound project management skills, able to deal with clients face-to-face as well as produce Gantt charts, manage schedules, programmes and costs. You must have a good understanding of financials, from calculating project fees through to reviewing estimates from suppliers and preparing reports. You will be an excellent communicator, comfortable liaising and negotiating with contractors to ensure projects are delivered to the right quality whilst meeting agreed budgets and timescales. IT literacy in Microsoft Suite is essential, especially excel.
