A permanent position for an experienced Design Manager with a strong residential FF&E bias. You’ll be reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director and the Technical director in the company. While overseeing the work of a small team, you’ll be responsible for creating feasibility studies, developing designs and briefing consultants.
The Design Manager will also be responsible for overseeing the design and delivery of all design requirements for various projects in the company. This may include pre-plan proposals, marketing suites, through to turnkey delivery.
There is a significant FF&E component to the role as you will ultimately be responsible for creating all FF&E concepts and working alongside a team, oversee installations. You will have excellent depth of supplier contacts and be up to date with latest trends.
Exceptional management skills are essential as you develop and lead the Interior Design Department, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and on budget.
The Right Candidate
You’ll be a professional, well presented and experienced designer with at least 10+ years’ relevant experience and proven ability to successfully manage and lead a residential interior design team.
Empathetic communication skills are essential as you will need to liaise between all departments and stakeholders to ensure they are aware of the pre-construction program and design specifications involved.
Managing multiple priorities, you are focused, organized, determined and thorough, able to deliver on deadlines and meet set targets.
As an integral part of the development team you and your design team will be creating high level aesthetic FF&E design concepts, presenting them with confidence to the board of directors for approval, producing specifications and technical design schedules. Previous experience working on regeneration design projects is preferable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite is essential. AutoCAD skills are desirable.
