We’re looking for a Senior FF&E Designer to work on high profile hospitality projects. The focus of the role is to ensure that the furniture, fittings and equipment requirements of all projects are sourced, ordered and delivered on time, on budget and to brief. The Senior FF&E Designer will create original and effective concepts, winning confidence of the client with a clearly communicated creative direction. He/she will see though the entire process, coordinating receipt, delivery and installation of all FF&E, ensuring all elements are delivered to site as scheduled. As part of this, the Senior FF&E Designer will maintain and develop relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, ensuring quality standards are met and the supplier database is advanced. As part of the day-to-day responsibilities of the role, the Senior FF&E designer will also assist with new business development, supporting the senior team on pitches and proposals for new clients. With their own design team, this role will assist with the interview process as well as manage, mentor and develop more junior designers.
The Right Candidate
Degree educated in Interior Design, Furniture Design or Architecture, you will be an outstanding senior level designer with a minimum of 6 years’ experience gained from a similar design practice. You must have worked within at least three interior sectors, including restaurants and hotels, and be able to showcase your experience of working on bespoke projects. With a sound understanding of current industry trends and strong communication skills, you will be able to interpret briefs accurately and present your ideas effectively. You will have a good technical knowledge of materials and be able to generate alternative solutions as problems arise. As well as managing your own team, you must be adept in building strong working relationships internally and externally. An assertive and confident designer, you will be results driven whilst remaining calm under pressure.
